THE HIMALAYAN DEVIS PROJECT
Women Self-Help Groups
The Himalayan Devis Project empowers women in remote Himalayan villages through Consciousness-Based Education, skills training, and daily group meditation. This initiative supports women’s empowerment, rural development, and mental health, while nurturing traditional knowledge and cultural identity. By investing in the inner and outer development of these women—who we called the “Devis”—the project fosters resilient communities and sustainable change in alignment with national CSR priorities.

Our Goal
By imparting scientifically proven techniques of self-development, while also promoting economic empowerment, cultural preservation, community infrastructure, and women and child healthcare, our goal is to improve the quality of life in all levels for the women in the Himalayas.

Our
Community Centers Plan
The idea
To truly uplift the lives of women in remote Himalayan villages, we are building dedicated Himalayan Devis Community Centers—multi-purpose spaces designed to support their inner growth, economic empowerment, and community well-being.

Our Vision
We plan to establish these buildings in strategic locations across the mountains, where groups of 700 to 1,000 women can easily reach daily to meditate together, work, and grow in peace and strength.

Our first Community Center is already under construction and two more are in active planning stages.
Each will offer:

-
Group meditation and TM-Sidhi practice to enliven coherence and inner peace
-
Training in economic activities like processing and packaging local products
-
Facilities for cultural events including Bhajan, Kirtan, and Vedic Yagyas
-
Healthcare access through visiting Vaidyas and preventive care education
-
Workshops on food, sustainability, and self-sufficiency
-
Safe, playful learning spaces for children, so mothers can work and participate fully

Our Plan for Scale
We aim to build 10 centers within one year, supporting 10,000 women meditating in synchrony across the region. Even when spread across different villages, their collective meditation at the same time can generate the Maharishi Effect—a measurable influence of peace and coherence in society.
